Police have identified Eduardo Martinez, 29, as the suspect wanted for the fatal stabbing of Orlando Miranda, 23, outside a Bronx fast food restaurant in 2023. The incident took place near East 139th Street in Mott Haven, where Miranda was stabbed multiple times outside a Kennedy Fried Chicken restaurant on Willis Ave. Miranda succumbed to his injuries at Lincoln Hospital.

The video shows Miranda in a red jacket standing outside the restaurant as Martinez, clad in jeans, a black jacket, and a hoodie, approaches him. Despite Miranda’s attempts to back away, the altercation escalates, ultimately resulting in the fatal stabbing on the streets of the Bronx.

Neighbors recalled Miranda as a kind and grateful individual who frequented the restaurant in search of leftover food. His family shared that Miranda had faced significant challenges, including a permanent change in mental state due to substance abuse years prior. Despite his struggles, Miranda was described as someone who avoided confrontation and tried his best to navigate life’s difficulties.
In the aftermath of Miranda’s death, authorities are urging anyone with information on Martinez’s whereabouts to come forward. The suspect, described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a medium complexion, was last seen fleeing the scene east of East 139th Street.
