The Turmoil Surrounding Hamster Kombat: A Closer Look
Hamster Kombat, a Telegram-based game, is currently embroiled in a series of internal conflicts and investor disagreements that are threatening the future of the project, including the highly anticipated HMSTR token airdrop. The situation took a turn for the worse following a report on August 16 that highlighted the discord between the team members and investors.
Legal Disputes and Allegations of Fraud
The conflict escalated when AD. RU, an investor in Hamster Kombat, accused the game’s owners of defrauding players of their rightful earnings. AD. RU, led by CEO Anton Gorshkov, had invested $600,000 in 2020 and played a significant role in developing the game. Despite contributing financially and aiding in marketing efforts that reportedly raised over $1 million, AD. RU claimed that their agreed-upon equity stake was not honored.
On the other hand, Gurinovich, a key figure in the project, denied any association with AD. RU in the development of Hamster Kombat. He refuted the allegations, stating that the initial agreement pertained to a different project. In response, AD. RU presented a technical report indicating that the servers of Hamster Kombat were linked to another joint project, Arenum. The conflict has escalated to the point where Gorshkov has initiated legal action against Gurinovich, potentially leading to a courtroom battle.
Internal Strife and Leadership Changes
The internal conflicts within Hamster Kombat further intensified with the departure of marketing director Nikita Anufriev. Anufriev, who played a pivotal role in promoting the game globally and attracting investors, claimed that he was promised a significant share of the revenue, which he never received. This situation has added fuel to the fire, complicating both internal and external relationships within the project.
Technical Challenges Delay Airdrop and Raise Concerns
The ongoing internal strife has significantly impacted the operation of Hamster Kombat, particularly the planned HMSTR Token Airdrop. Originally scheduled for late July, the airdrop has been postponed indefinitely due to technical issues related to the TON blockchain. Concerns regarding network congestion have further exacerbated the delay, leading to frustration among players eager to participate.
Community members have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of clear communication from the team regarding the new timeline for the airdrop. As the team grapples with internal conflicts, the future of Hamster Kombat remains uncertain. Players and investors alike are apprehensive about server stability and the game’s sustainability in the face of these mounting challenges.
