Breaking: Cantor Fitzgerald Announces $2 Billion Bitcoin Financing Business

Howard Lutnick, CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, a New York-based global financial services company, announced at Bitcoin 2024 that the company will invest an initial US$2 billion in a new Bitcoin financing business.
The company confirmed the plan via a press release.
Cantor Fitzgerald focuses on BTC financing business
According to Cantor Fitzgerald CEO and details in the press release, the new venture will provide leverage to investors holding Bitcoin. After the initial $2 billion in financing, the company will invest more money into the financing platform.
“We are excited to help unlock Bitcoin’s full potential and continue to bridge the gap between traditional finance and digital assets,” Lutnick said in a statement.
Commenting at Bitcoin 2024, Cantor Fitzgerald executives said that his company is bringing the flagship digital asset to global financial markets. He added that the company is ready to partner with leading custodians in the market.
Lutnick’s Vision for Bitcoin
Lutnick also revealed that Cantor Fitzgerald owns Bitcoin and he also personally holds the benchmark crypto asset.

“My view is that Bitcoin, like gold, should be freely traded around the world, and as the world’s largest wholesaler, we will do everything we can to make that happen,” he said at Bitcoin 2024.
