Two young-looking con men conducted a robbery in Central Park on Tuesday night, targeting two visitors in their early twenties. This incident took place less than 24 hours after another similar robbery involving three teenagers. Law enforcement sources are currently investigating whether these incidents are connected to a larger trend of robberies in the park, possibly involving immigrants. The suspects, who appeared to be teenagers, approached the victims at West 62nd Street and Western Avenue, stealing jewelry, hats, and vape pens.

The robbery on Tuesday followed a previous incident where three boys, aged 14, 16, and 17, robbed three male victims near Grand Army Plaza. One of the suspects brandished what appeared to be a gun, leading to the theft of AirPods and jewelry from the victims. While one suspect managed to evade capture, the other three were apprehended and charged with second-degree robbery, a felony offense.
