Bronx Shooting: Six Men Injured in Brazen Attack
A disturbing incident unfolded in the Bronx on Wednesday night when a pair of gunmen opened fire on a group of men, leaving six individuals injured. The shooting took place in the St. James Park neighborhood near East 191st Street and Morris Avenue around 8:15 p.m.
Details of the Shooting
According to Bronx Patrol Commander Benjamin Gurley, the victims were hanging out under the scaffolding when two men, one wearing a helmet, approached the scene. Without warning, the gunmen fired multiple rounds into the crowd, causing chaos and panic. The victims, ranging in age from 20 to 31, sustained various injuries, including gunshot wounds to the abdomen, hand, groin, and thigh.
Response and Investigation
Police quickly responded to the scene, where they found two victims, while the other injured individuals sought help at nearby hospitals. Despite some witnesses cooperating with the authorities, the shooters remain at large.
Fortunately, all the victims are expected to survive their injuries, which were deemed non-life-threatening. However, the brazen nature of the attack has left the community shaken and on edge.
