Homeless Parolee Arrested for Cleaver Murder in Bronx Laundromat
A homeless parolee, Clarence Woodward, was arrested for an unprovoked cleaver murder at a Bronx laundromat, where he allegedly stabbed 45-year-old Jose Miranda to death and injured another man. The incident took place at 303 Laudnomat in the Bronx in the early hours of the morning.
The Attack and Arrest
Woodward, a 39-year-old parolee released from prison a month ago, walked into the laundromat and proceeded to carry out the brutal attack. He stabbed Miranda and another man before fleeing the scene. Thanks to video footage obtained by the Daily News, the police were able to track him down and make an arrest shortly after the incident.
Criminal Record and Previous Convictions
Records show that Woodward has a history of criminal offenses and has served multiple terms in state prison, all for convictions in the Bronx. He was released on parole just a month before the incident, after serving time for attempted robbery and felony assault. This tragic event has shed light on the challenges faced by individuals reentering society after being incarcerated.
