Explosive Poop Trap Prank at Texas Car Washes
Paul Moses Alden, a 46-year-old man from Texas, has been accused of a bizarre and dangerous prank involving explosive poop traps at local car washes. The incidents resulted in injuries to two women and a young girl, leading to Alden’s arrest by the San Antonio police.
The Prank Scheme
Alden allegedly set up small commercial fireworks under toilet seats in three separate bathrooms at car wash locations in the San Antonio area. The fireworks were designed to explode when pressure was applied, causing harm to unsuspecting victims. After setting up the traps, Alden would wait for the explosions to occur before leaving the scene.
The first explosion took place on July 20 at a car wash on Bandera Road in Alden’s hometown. Surveillance footage captured Alden entering the unisex bathroom and then exiting before a woman triggered the explosive device while using the toilet.
The Victims
One woman sustained minor injuries in the first incident but left before police arrived. Six days later, two more victims were injured at another car wash location. A female employee was hurt while squatting on a toilet, followed by a young girl experiencing a similar ordeal in a different bathroom.
Police found physical evidence of the small fireworks at both scenes and identified Alden through surveillance footage.
Legal Actions and Investigation
Alden was charged with arson causing reckless damage or bodily harm and released on $50,000 bail. The car wash company expressed gratitude for the swift actions of the police and arson investigators and pledged full cooperation with the authorities.
The case is still under investigation, and Alden awaits indictment as the legal process unfolds.
