Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Long Island Teens
Early Thursday morning, tragedy struck on the South Islip State Parkway as two young lives were lost in a horrific crash. Oliver Charles, 18, of Deer Park, and Diamond Saunders, 17, of West Babylon, lost their lives when the 2010 Toyota Prius they were in overturned near Exit 43A.
Authorities received a 911 call around 2 a.m. reporting the rollover, and upon arriving at the scene, they found the severely damaged vehicle. Sadly, Charles and Saunders were pronounced dead at the scene, while the three other passengers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
